First Steps

This section just outlines a few things to get done straight away when you're all handed over and ready to start presidenting all over the place

Log in to everything and get yourself familiar

I would say this is pretty important. Go to each website from the logins section that has a login specified, and just get yourself logged in, and have an explore around the page! I would say to get this done first, because I'm sure you're very interested in all the behind the scenes fun things that you don't get to see as a normie member. Poke around the Instagram stats, figure out how Linktree works, deep dive into years old emails. Do whatever you need to get it out your system. This will also actually help in the long run - it's a fun and easy way to find your way around and figure out how everything works!

Make a plan

Logically, I suppose this should come first, but it's not as fun as the first step. Please, please, please make a plan. It doesn't matter if its 5 lines long, or 5 pages long - any plan is better than no plan. You don't have to plan the entire year; I don't even know if that's possible. What I would advise you to plan, however, is your summer. Don't let the job take over your summer. I know it might feel like there's a lot to do, but it's honestly not as bad as it seems. Your main jobs over the summer will be to reply to Instagram DM's, make sure plenty of media is going out, and just checking up on the other committee members every now and then. Your main worries should be media and RAG. You'll want the committee reveal, club info, and Give Me Sport (GMS) posts to be going out over the summer. You don't need to rush any of it, but get some sort of plan in place. It'll take away any stress you might have from doing the job. Also, I don't just mean plan for the summer... keep making plans throughout the year. It helps.

Order any merch you may want

You're the president. Make sure everyone knows it. Order yourself any of the committee range here. The normal t-shirt we usually get is this one. Wear it with pride! I think socks are also an option... I'm not sure who's buying committee branded socks, but if you want to be that person, go for it... I guess

Enjoy your summer!

There will be a few meetings to attend, a few messages to send, but ultimately, enjoy your summer! Enjoy your summer and look forward to getting that t-shirt with "President" on the back.
